Terms and Conditions for car trainees (terms and conditions for other services available on request)

These terms and conditions are intended to protect the interests of you, the trainee and us, the company. In these terms and conditions YOU refers to you, the trainee. US, WE AND OUR refers to MSM driver training and any representative or associate working on our behalf. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By paying us for our services you are agreeing to the terms set out here and will be legally bound by them.

All learner drivers must hold a valid provisional UK driving licence for the appropriate vehicle. Failure to present this licence will result in refusal of training and you will be charged for the cancelled lesson. All drivers sitting pass plus, refresher training or driver assessment must be in possession of a valid, full UK driving licence.

Lesson charges are subject to change and MSM reserve the right to change the cost of training at any time. If this is to occur you will be notified in writing no less than one week prior to your next booking. The value of pre-paid lessons is secured and you will not be required to pay any additional monies for those hours. Payment must be made in cleared funds prior to the lesson commencing. MSM reserves the right to refuse training to anyone who fails to pay up front for lessons. WE DO NOT GIVE CREDIT. If you need to cancel a pre-booked lesson you must do so no later than 24 hours before the day of the lesson. Failure to do so will result in you being required to pay for the lesson. If you have pre-paid hours the appropriate amount of payment will be deducted from your total.

If we cancel your lesson any later than 24hours before the lesson date we will deduct 10% from your next lesson cost as compensation.

All special offers and discounted rates are at the discretion of your instructor. Free lessons, coupons and discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. We reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time. If you require more details then contact your instructor.

Due to work schedules we insist on trainees being punctual. Your lesson may be cancelled and you charged with the full cost if you arrive any more than 10 minutes late for a lesson. We cannot be held responsible if, for whatever reason, you miss a test appointment due to your late arrival.

If your practical test is cancelled due to an error on our part (for example, your instructor's car being unsuitable for test) we limit our liabilty to refunding you the cost of the practical test. In certain circumstances we may offer you free or discounted lessons as compensation. Please note, however, that a failure to sit the test due to a fault on our part is very rare.

You are responsible for your safety and for arriving for lessons in a suitable condition for driving. Any trainee suspected to be under the influence of drink or controlled substances will be refused tuition, charged for the booked time and immediately removed from our training programme. We do not tolerate unsafe practices and the abuse of controlled substances. In these circumstances we are obliged to notify the police.

Due to the high risk of training drivers on the public highway we need to do whatever we can to protect the safety of the public, our instructors, out trainees and the interests of our insurers. It is therefore important that we maintain a high level of discipline and safety whilst training. Any cases of a pupil knowingly contravening highway rules or endangering the health and safety of the public will be dealt with severly. We reserve the right to refuse tuition and will report such acts to the police. We also reserve the right to refuse use of a car for the practical test in cases where the instructor doesn't feel confident in your ability. Always discuss practical test bookings with your instructor.

The terms and conditions shown here are a brief summary of the key points. Written terms and conditions are available on request. E-mail or phone for more details.
