My name is Matthew Long and I am your instructor here at MSM driver training.

I established MSM after recently qualifying to become a driving instructor. I trained for 7months with AA driving school and passed all the relevant tests set out by the Driving Standards Agency.

I set up MSM driver training so that I could offer an equally high standard of instruction to the big brand names but with the support and quality of service that only a local driving school can offer. What also makes MSM different is the various driver education services we provide and that, due to not having to pay franchise fees to a big corporation, we can offer competitively priced tuition to suit most budgets.

Before training to become an instructor I was a driver in the coach and bus industry.

I passed my PCV (class D/D1) licence at the age of 21 and then spent over 4 years driving coaches around the UK and parts of Europe.

During this time I gained a lot of knowledge and skill which I am now able to pass on to PCV/PSV trainees through my qualification as an ADI.

I have also spent some time driving Hackney carriages and private hire vehicles. My knowledge of the requirements of these different types of vehicles allows me to offer a versatile tuition programme that caters for each individual industry.
